The Life Insurance programs are available across different levels, ranging from introductory awareness programs through to applied knowledge courses.


Life Insurance Generic Knowledge
The FSC Life Insurance Generic Knowledge Program is designed to provide participants with an initial introduction and overview of the Life Insurance market.


The program covers:


  • Introduction to Life Insurance

  • Death Cover and Total & Permanent Disablement Cover

  • Income Protection and Trauma Insurance Cover

  • Key Risk Management and Underwriting Principles


Delivery Options


  • Face-to-face: experienced industry presenters deliver the program through an interactive full-day (8-hour) workshop presentation for large group enrolments.

  • Distance Education: via our online Learning Management System.


All participants will be provided with detailed reference materials and presentation slides.


Licensing options are also available for facilitation by in-house presenters.

Life Insurance Applied Knowledge & Skills
The FSC Life Insurance Applied Knowledge & Skills program is designed to provide participants with a practical working knowledge of the Australian Life Insurance industry.


By completing the program participants will gain a sound understanding of the features of different Life Insurance products and key issues associated with the operation, taxation and administration of Life Insurance.


Delivery Options


  • Face-to-face: experience industry presenters deliver the program over 6 intensive 2 hour sessions conducted on a weekly basis. Delivered in an interactive format to encourage participant interaction in an open learning environment.

  • Distance Education: via our online Learning Management System for course material and assessments with telephone/email support from our industry professionals.


All participants will be provided with program reference notes as a practical reference tool for future use.


Assessment
Participants are required to complete a short online assignment after each of the first 5 sessions.


Final assessment is undertaken at the completion of the course. Participants are required to pass both ongoing assessment and final assessment to successfully complete the program.


Failure to successfully complete program final assessments may incur an additional fee of $65.00 per resit.
